1. the countdown

Knowing the CASPA opens in April, we plan out our weeks and break down which aspects of the application we will do in advance. This helps us figure out which aspects of their application may be missing before the opening of the cycle and also helps us save time in the long run!

While you should wait to enter information until the application actually opens, you can do a lot of prep in advance, especially your personal statement and experience writing. So based on what you have done already, I would create a calendar and assign yourself pieces of the application to work on each week leading up to April 27, 2024.

2. personal statement

Obviously, the piece you can prepare the most is the personal statement. I have a whole post dedicated to this which I will link here. I also have a personal statement writing challenge you can follow along to help hold you accountable. I would highly recommend having your personal statement completed prior to CASPA opening.
